Hello!

I’m Marcos, an European Portuguese voice-over artist based in Lisbon, Portugal.

I’ve been working in radio for almost 20 years and I became a voice talent in 2006, collaborating with many studios since then.

I also have my own audiobooth at home, where I use professional gear.

Some of the brands and institutions that trust my voice in Portugal

Since you are here...

I’m a great “helloer” when I meet people in the street but it is hard to greet someone with a mic…

At least two times I was in the middle of voice-overs when I realize I didn’t hit the rec button of the DAW…

And did you know that there are funny differences between the Portuguese language spoken in different countries, like “hey, cara” being a greeting in Brazil and, in Portugal, a comment on something really expensive?

I reflect on these and other voice-over curiosities at the “Drop the Mic” blog.

“When I was a kid, I used to look at animals and wonder, how would that kitten sound if it could talk? I’d tighten up my throat and make a very small voice, not realizing I was rehearsing.”

Mel Blanc, voice actor

“We all sit in front of our mics and our scripts lay on music stands. Then the silliness begins!”

Tara Strong, voice actress

“Doing voiceover work reminded me how much I enjoy performing without doing a curtain call or being recognized. It reminded me you don’t need the spotlight.”

Mark Hamill, actor and voice talent

“Could I be even happier with another job? Hardly! Pushing buttons, sound editing, and microphones always fascinated me. Working in my pajamas is the cherry on top of the cake!”
